Trump's Announcement
Honestly I hope there are going to be better candidates running as we need someone younger and fresher.
BUT....if it comes down to him and Biden again, unfortunately I think he will win as so many are not happy what has been going on.

Trump's Announcement
I cannot believe he is going to run again! At the beginning of his presidency, I thought he would be good. He's not a career politition and would bring fresh blood into government. But, after a few years of him, it became abundantly clear that he is a loose cannon. If he would just listen to his handlers and read what the speechwriters write, things wouldn't have been bad. In general, his political views make sense. But, he's an idiot! I really hope he doesn't get the Republican nomination.
Both Trump and Biden (and so many others) are just too old for the presidency! We need some younger people to run.

If he just NOT talked he would have been fine. I think that was his biggest downfall and why people voted for Biden.
We need to start all new and fresh this time, totally agreed.

I was hoping for Desantis to run. I feel like he has a better chance of winning vs. Trump. There are too many people I know of that voted Biden simply because they did not like Trump's personality.

I think I heard he say let's just get through 2022. Maybe he will think about it.

I am wondering if he's taking a new approach in that respect because I heard on the news this morning that his speech last night was much different and more subdued and professional than his usual speeches. Maybe he's being advised to act more "presidential"? Either way it's too late. People aren't going to change their opinions of him now. Time for fresh blood.

Exactly and I hope it doesn't come down to the lesser of 2 evils again.

That's my biggest fear. Could you imagine being stuck with another 4 years of Biden?

Trump's Announcement
I'm guessing he made the announcement now b/c people are jumping on him for ruining the Red Wave. He can't stand not having attention and people kissing his butt, so he announced to get people to talk about him again.

I think he's a bit threatened by DeSantis too. That's why he's been taking jabs at him lately People like him do that when they feel threatened by someone.

I'm not a fan of Biden, but the country has been in better shape than it was under Trump. A lot of the issues Biden is dealing with are b/c of COVID (businesses closing, unemployment, and supply chain) and Russia's war with Ukraine (economic issues, high gas prices, etc).

I've been waiting to hear this explanation too. Even if all those things aren't his fault...they are things that make the country worse. You can blame Covid, Putin, etc but you can't deny we are in a shit position right now in every possible way. But I'm curious to hear how the country is better now than 3 years ago. Maybe I'm just missing something.

Trump's Announcement
I think Desantis will throw his name into the ring and I also think Pence will too. I just watched his interview and he does not want Trump to win. I also do not think Biden will be running for another term. He is one and done and I hope the democrats are working on some viable candidates.

I get that the economy (inflation, etc) is harder on people than it was during Trump's presidency, but Biden is having to deal with the fallout from Trump's decisions. If Trump was still in office (or wins again) - we'll definitely be in much worse shape than what we're dealing with right now.

So almost 3 years later we are still blaming Trump? So we can blame Biden when the next president comes in? Will you do that then or just still put all the blame on Trump forever?

Seriously, really tired of hearing people blame Trump still. Say what you will about his personality, but I had more expendable income under his presidency than I do now.
