TTC and Perming/Hair Straightening
Hi.... I wanted to get some insight on treating your hair while trying to conceive.
I heard that while pregnant it could be harmful... but what about while you are TTC? What if you don't know your pregnant yet?
Is asking for a mask to wear during the process enough - just in case you are pregnant?
What are your thoughts?

i would test right before you get your hair done. most things are safe while trying to concieve but most are not safe if you are pregnant.

I don't know if the mask will help... my hair dresser told me that the reason you shouldn't do things to your hair while pregnant is because they touch your scalp, and are absorbed that way. My dr, however, told me that it's fine after the first trimester. Still not sure what I'll do if I get PG! Do it now so when you get PG it will already be done!!

It's a personal decision, but the first time around I didn't worry about anything until I actually got my BFP.
