TTC w/ PCOS
I have PCOS and using the clear blue digital ovulation kit and for 2 months straight did not get any smiley face. Has anyone experienced not getting a smiley face when using this kit? Thanks...just wondering if it could be the kit..

Re: TTC w/ PCOS
PCOS can definitely interfere with accurate use of OPKs.
I would see your ob/gyn and ask for some recommendations of what to do... you may need medication to help you ovulate.

Re: TTC w/ PCOS
Yeah OBGYN is aware and he did refer me to East Coast Fertility...so will probably call them soon to make an appt. It is so disappointing when you don't see a smile, especially for 2 months in a row, ya know!!!

Re: TTC w/ PCOS
I never got a +OPK when we were TTC. The only time I ever did was once I was with the RE and they forced ovulation. And then I only took the OPK because I REALLY wanted to see that d@mn smiley!
PCOS can definately screw with the results of the OPKs. It can also cause false positives as well since with PCOS your LH levels are off.

Re: TTC w/ PCOS
As PPs have said, the kits are not always accurate with PCOS. I would begin temping to see if you are actually ovulating. Even if you get a , it doesn't mean you will definitely ovulate; temping is the only way to know for sure and it will give your Drs something more to work with.

Temping can be wrong too. The only way to be sure is sonos and/or bloodwork. I had perfect charts but my ovaries were cystic and there was no way I was really o'ing. I was put on Met and starting O'ing on my own 3 months on it.

I was going to say that as well. My RE told me to stop temping because with PCOS it's not really accurate as well.

Re: TTC w/ PCOS
So do you think it is possible to ovulate and not get the smile? Or is it only possible to get the smile and not really ovulate? Thanks.
