Tubal Ligation

Not sure this belongs here - didn't know where to post:

Ok so both DH and I were ok with me having this done (even though he offered) after having Lola, because:

1) I'm 37
2) I have 3 kids now
3) I lost my job in December
4) We don't have the house / space we want and financially it would be impossible

I just got a call from my doctors office and it's scheduled for June 8th and I'm scared/nervous.

I went for my follow up appt the other day, and after hearing the details of what will go on during surgery (burn and cutting of my tubes) I left there feeling like I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it - just in case we changed our minds later? Is that crazy/normal? I know we can't afford another kid..but what if ....

I actually sat in the car and cried because I feel like a part of my womanhood is being taken away from me. Although DH is ok with having his 2 little girls, I would have loved to give him a little boy. I know we can't predict the sex of our babies, and given our situation and my age it may be the best thing.

I feel like I"m being so stupid about this. Has anyone ever had mixed feelings about this?

I just want to give you some I imagine that it's a really tough decision.

That being said, you might get more traffic on the Parenting board with this since some of those ladies might already be done w/having kids. GL with whatever you do
