Tuesday QOTD
What are your favorite ideas/themes/games for a baby shower?
What would you love to see at your own shower?
Fee free to post pics if you have them!
I saw this on a website or magazine somewhere once I loved it – instead of a wishing well everyone brought unwrapped baby clothing and hung it on clothes lines as decorations at the party.
I work with flowers for a living – so I also love the idea of doing centerpieces that are like diaper cakes with fresh flowers as the cake topper.

At my girlfriends shower her mom had us bring children's books for the Wishing Well. She asked that we choose a book that had special meaning for us and write an inscription inside. It was really nice........my friend got a ton of really great books with really sweet inscriptions inside to her and the baby. 
For my baby shower my sister coordinated all of the decorations and the theme to match what we chose for our DD's nursery which was a "jungle babies theme" with all creams and cocoas for the colors. It was really nice.

I've seen that and would love to do that too. My SIL did a diaper well and she made out like a bandit!!!!
I guess it will match my theme since I don't want to find out.

Instead of cards, I'd really love it if everyone brought their favorite childhood book and wrote something in it to the baby.
I really don't want a traditional baby shower. I'd like to make it a big party with all of our friends, guys included. So no traditional baby shower games and what not.

I will not be having a baby shower (I think it is an Italian thing - cause my family doesn't believe in them and neither do a lot of my Italian friends)
I do really want one deep down inside though - so I have thought about this.
I really like the clothes line - that is cute
I saw someone on the pregnancy board with a monkey theme and it was adorable.
I also really like when they do centerpieces where baby socks look like roses

I dont know if this would work but we had something similar at my bridal shower but when Im opening up my gifts the person who gave the gift i was opening would read me a random question about myself i.e. how many kids did you want growing up/now, what was your favorite childhood toy, were did I meet the person who gave me the gift. Just questions to get everyone involved. I loved it, it was so much fun, other then that I want it to be very relaxed. I also love the clothesline too

I am pretty sure since it will be my 4th, I won't be having a shower
But with my past ones, I really lived a simple gathering at my mom's house. My favorite theme/colors is brown and blue for a boy or pink and brown for a girl. Simple, but nice.

This is what we are doing for my SIL's baby shower this weekend!! They had the cutest invitations...it was a teapot shaped invite with "A Baby is Brewing" and attached to it is a tea bag with a baby pic of my brother and SIL on each side, then their last name on the other end. So cute!

I would love to have a nautical theme. We want to stay team green when it happens so I think its very unisex and I just love anything to do with water

I actually have not thought at all about my baby shower  I definitely want one though!
One thing I would have LOVED to do is have it at the same place I had my bridal shower but they closed and it's a whole new restaurant now at that location... oh well.....
For what its worth, I started compiling a guest list!
