Tummy Tuck
O.K. After seeing recent pix of Brittney Spears, I want her tummy tuck!!!!!!
Would you/did you ever get one? Do you know anyone who has?
I met a Mom at a Mommy & ME who had 1 after her twins were a year old. I didn't actually see it, but she was happy with the results.
My stomach is totally shot after having my daughter. I hear that you should wait until you are done having children before considering such a procedure.
Any thoughts???

Re: Tummy Tuck
Nope, not for me... I've had 2 kids and my belly is a mess, but I know with some hard work, diet and exercise, I can have it back again! I am not one for elective surgery. I just couldn't do it.

Re: Tummy Tuck
I know someone who had it done after she had her kids and they were in school. She was overweight also and had lost I think between 50 and 70lbs and then she got this procedure and her stomach looks great. My godmother had it done this past April and she always had a boyish shape mean her torso never had any curse and her stomach was always round. I know she didnt loose weight before and to be honest to me she looks same maybe a few pounds thinner. My mother wants it done but she had lipo 2.5 years ago and the doctor didnt do such a good job and when she went to another doctor for a consult they told her she wasnt a good candidate for it. I am not sure if I would have it done. I am more about my breasts than my stomach and i would rather have breast lift then a tummy tuck if I had a choice.

Re: Tummy Tuck
It's tempting. This "twin skin" is nasty! But, I don't think I would do it

Re: Tummy Tuck
I don't know anyone who has done it, and I would not do it. It's just not for me. Not for nothing, but I never liked my tummy before having a baby, so it's not a big adjustment for me to not like it now

Re: Tummy Tuck
I have talked to DH about it and would love to have one after I am done having babies. My belly is destroyed after being stretched so much.

Re: Tummy Tuck
My MIL had it done. She had 3 c-sections and her stomach was seriously butchered. She said it was incredibly painful!

that's what I have heard too. So I think I will wait until I have made that decision. I can't imagine what Britney has gone through (didn't she have one with the first too?)

Re: Tummy Tuck
I've told DH to start the tummy tuck fund!! In all seriousness - yes I would do it in a heartbeat. My stomach is not so bad that it's not anything that diet and exercise can't fix (at least I think)...but no amount of diet, exercise, creams or lotions will ever get rid of my stretch marks. But a tummy tuck will cut most of them out. Of course I would wait until I was done having kids.
My mom had one many years ago, my aunt had one, and my cousin who is just 3 years younger than me had one a few years after having her baby. The results varied greatly.
My mom has always been thin and has a great body. She had excess skin from being pregnant that would never go away no matter how much she dieted or exercised. Her results were awesome.
My aunt has always battled with her weight. While she's not fat, her results were not as good. Same thing with my cousin.
I think in order to have great results like my mom or Britney, you have to maintain with diet and exercise.

Re: Tummy Tuck
My mother had is done recently and in clothes she looks great, but there is a HUGE nasty scar the goes half way around her waist. The doc told her that over time is will get better, but let me tell you it's pretty scary looking. She is really happy with the results and feels that even if there is a scar there she doesn't care because she wasn't planning on wearing a bikini or anything like that. She had a really big belly and was a perfect candidate for this.
I def want to get some touching up after I'm done having kids, but I don't know if I would go for the full tummy tuck. I hope to get in the best shape I can on my own and then just have a small nip/tuck

Re: Tummy Tuck
I know some people who did it when their kids were all in school and they were done. I would definitely wait until you are done having kids. I'm with Seles, I want to boob lift first- then we'll talk tummy tuck (not that I think either one of those will actually happen)

Re: Tummy Tuck
I would definitely consider it. I don't know much about what exactly is involved with the procedure, so I can't say yes for sure yet.
