Im mixing a little of Knorrs garlic and herb sauce mix in with the butter prior to putting it on the turkey. I then just baste it while it cooks.
Last year I used melted butter and William Sonoma turkey seasoning. It came out great

I keep it simple:
olive oil (I can't use butter)
salt
pepper
garlic
paprika
I stuff the cavity with onion and apple
I also never baste.. and my turkey is always super moist
