twin bed for toddler
I posted earlier this week about Ethan climbing out of his crib like a little acrobat! We have decided that we will need to transition him to a bed sooner rather than later, but I am having a heck of a time finding something decent.
I love the Pottery Barn Kids stuff but don't really want to spend that much $$ for a twin bed.
The room is not very large and I really need a bed that does not have a high footboard (so that you can also sit on the foot of the bed). I would prefer a trundle or storage drawers underneath - where am I going to put all the stuff that is in the crib drawer?!?
We are considering a trip to Tanger to visit the PB outlet but not sure if we'll have any luck...
BTW, needs to be white - all the other furniture in his room is white. No platform bed either
Any store suggestions would be most helpful...

I bought my son's big boy bed (twin) at Behrs. They have a large selection of children furniture. Many have options for trundles which we got with his. Ours has a footboard - no chane to fall out there - so mine won't help but they do have a lot of stuff.

How are their prices? Do they have any 0% interest deals like Levitz? Our son needs a bed soon too.

Casco kids in Centereach has nice things that are comparable to Pottery Barn IMO. I'm not sure what price range you are looking for, but I bought my son a twin that looks like the "Thomas" version from PBK and paid $499 for it. It came with a headboard, footboard and rails. They did have other styles though that don't have a footboard.

I think it depends what you are looking at. I wanted high quality furniture to grow with the child. The bed alone was $580 without the trundle. I know when I looked for cribs they had different price ranges. I didn't look into financing - so not sure what they offer.
This is the brand/series I bought - just in a different color scheme and different pieces that aren't listed here. http://www.rtfurnitureusa.com/shaker_auburn_wedgewood_blue.html
Not sure if you have tried allbeds.com - they have some nice furniture and free shipping typically and decent prices. I have bought a day bed from them with no issues.

Re: twin bed for toddler
We just bought this bed for Cole. We found a lot of really junky furniture, this is Stanley and made really well. We saved a ton of money by ordering from Furnitureland South. Right now we're going with the lowest setting (like a toddler bed) and the full rails, eventually we'll raise it up and add the trundle.

Re: twin bed for toddler
I JUST went shopping for beds last saturday and sunday. I looked at Tanger PBK and found nothing worthwhile. Most pieces had scratches and dents that were very obvious... I looked at Casco kids, Raymour and Flanigan, The place, Rooms unlimited, JC penney, Furn-a-kit, and Levitz. We wanted to look at a variety of prices..JMO but, we ended up ordering from Rooms unlimited. They had the same set that The Place did for $500 less. It was in-stock and will be delivered this wed. I thought casco and furn-a-kit were similar and poorly made, JC penney and Levitz were about the same, and The place was obviously overpriced. Raymour and flanigan had some nice pieces. I also bought a trundle bed; Raymour and flanigan had one without a footboard with a bookcase headboard. The trundles are pretty high, so I also bought a stepstool
