Twin Feeding Question...
Okay thinking about this today but when you feed the baby cereal or food, do you use one spoon or two. I use to use two but now they get so ansy that i have to feed them quick so i use the same spoon for both of them. Is this horrible??? I was thinking this is really only a question a twin mom can answer!
PS - I have tried doing both at the same time with two different spoons, but that became a big mess as my boys like to grab for teh spoon and i need to use my other hand to stop it.

Re: Twin Feeding Question...
I feed them both the bottle at the same time. Then I give one baby a pacifier to keep him calm while I feed the other solid food - one spoon for each baby. It works really well... maybe even try to distract the other baby with a rattle or something.

Re: Twin Feeding Question...
First they get a bottle at the same time. Then I have been feeding them at the same time with the food and cereal with different spoons; however, I have noticed Abby getting restless when I give Emily a spoonful. So today, I feed Abby first and Emily waited patiently and watched me feed her sister.

Re: Twin Feeding Question...
I use 2 separate spoons, like Jen said I give a toy to the other and distract while feeding the other

Re: Twin Feeding Question...
I would use a divided bowl and 2 spoons, but both spoons were right there, so I would do one spoonful to one then one to the other. When someone else would help me, it was funny because I was actually shoveling the food into one babies face, since I was so used to going twice as fast as needed.

Re: Twin Feeding Question...
When my boys were little...I started with 2 spoons for the same reason you did...then I ended up using 1. When they started moving they would swap binkies and chew the same toys, so I figured...what they heck! I would say do what works for you!

Re: Twin Feeding Question...
i feed them one at a time, using 2 bowls & spoons. the other one waits in the exersaucer for their turn. Its not long though, usually takes under 5 mins to feed one.

Re: Twin Feeding Question...
I started out using 2 spoons - but then I always screwed up, so now I just do one spoon.

Re: Twin Feeding Question...
I have heard of multiple moms using the same spoon. If your using the same bowl of cereal... two spoons, one spoons... its still double dipping.
But i dont know since i have not started feeding them cereal yet.

Re: Twin Feeding Question...
You guys have made me feel better! I figure if they grab each others hands and place it in their mouths and eat the same thing on the exesaucer, whats the big deal with one spoon?
