Twin Mommy Guilt...
As you all know, the routine of getting 2 babies fed, changed, dressed, etc, takes a long time. I feel like as soon as that process is finished, I have to prepare for the next feeding -washing bottles, sterilizing, emptying diaper genies (!). I feel like I'm not able to "play" with the boys as much as I would like to...and I don't want this to impact them in the long run (I know I'm going overboard, but it's something I worry about!).
I don't want to be all business, but it's virtually impossible to make things run smoothely if I'm not organized. Is anyone else feeling this way?

Re: Twin Mommy Guilt...
In the beginning yes I did. But it will soon get better and there will be more time in between feedings and changings to actually do stuff with them.
When they get a bit older it is great they play by themselves and actually enjoy it so I don't have to be playing all the time.
Don't feel guilty, they have something a singleton doesn't have and I think it makes up for the things that they may not get from being a twin, like undivided attention all the time.

Re: Twin Mommy Guilt...
Jen.....I was going to post the SAME THING. Yes, getting out of the house is a NIGHTMARE...because by the time I get myself together, it is time to feed them AGAIN
I also find myself rushing when Im out to hurry home that I wont make it back in time for the next feeding, which I alreday made that mistake. I took the boys to my school, and stayed longer than I wanted and Christopher cried his head off he was so hungry
I too feel guilty many times, especially when I pray they go down to sleep so I can get something done

I'm so glad I am not alone in these thoughts.
I LOVED this -
they have something a singleton doesn't have and I think it makes up for the things that they may not get from being a twin, like undivided attention all the time
Beautifully expressed and I will definitely keep that in my mind!! Thank you!

Re: Twin Mommy Guilt...
i've been feeling the same way but i keep trying to reassure myself its impossible to do all the things you can with a singleton. there are lots of twins in the world and i am sure they all didnt get soooo much attention and they turned out ok.
