Twins with Clomid??
Does anyone know how common are twins when taking clomid? Twins don't run in my family so Im wondering if that would decrease my chances of having twins? TIA

Twins are very common with Clomid since the med usually produces more than 1 follie. In this case, it doesn't really matter if it runs in your family or not. Now, identical twins is another story...

Actually, you only have a 9-10% chance of having multiples on Clomid. I think the natural (no medication) chance is 1-2%. So it's not that much of an increase. I did Clomid with IUI twice and got pg on the second one with a singleton.

I was told by my dr 8-9%. Depends on how many folllies you get. I'm only having a single and I did 150mg of clomid.

I did 50mg of clomid and an IUI and my family is loaded down with twins. I am currently pregnant with a singleton. Like the pp said, there isn't too much higher a chance.

I got pregnant with twins on round #2 with injectable medicine and never did clomid.

I heard Clomid doesn't increase your chance of twins a whole bunch.. but I guess any combination of meds that makes you develop more than one follie gives you a good chance!!!
Are you hoping for twins? (I am!!.. though of course I would be happy with ANY amount!!!!!!!!!!!) Good luck!!!!

I was told by my RE that there's only about a 7% chance of getting pregnant with twins while on Clomid. Well I guess Im part of that 7%!  And I was only on 50mg but I know I definitly had to mature eggies at the time and obviously they both took!
