#1 - where can i find nice, but inexpensive, all weather wicker patio furniture? any online stores?

#2 - how hard is it to DIY a tile backsplash ourselves? has anyone done one?

Re: Two Questions - for the house

Maybe check out Walmart or Target online for the wicker furniture.

We have never done tile work, but we will be laying tile floor this winter for our laundry room. We will DIY this project as well. Go to HD or Lowe's and buy a book for Home Improvements. They have directions on how to do a lot of things around the house. It has come in handy for us in the past.

Re: Two Questions - for the house

As for the furniture, a LOT of stores are having major discounts right now because it is the end of the season. Check online for Home Depot & Lowes, and even the supermarkets. I'm in AZ and our supermarkets are home centers and sell Furniture, etc. They were having huge liquidations over the weekend. You can also check Ikea, they have great outdoor stuff.

As for the backsplash, it depends on the material you choose. Do you or DH know how to cut tile? If so, it shouldn't be too terrible. They make some great stuff that is really easy to install now. Anyone at your local HD or Lowes could talk to you. I think they also do classes on how to install.

Congrats on your new house!!! Chat Icon

You should def. check with Jess (Camacho). They did a subway tile backsplash DIY. Heck maybe they can even come over and help since you are all Floridians now!- LOL

you are in FL right???? look around there are actually winker only stores down there and you can see the stuff in person.

My parents got theirs once they moved down there and found wicker furniture everywhere. Up north you are limited to the time of year to find it.
