Getting our house painted...lots of questions...

We are getting our house painted on Friday. The team of guys painting it were recommended to us by a local painting store. The main guy already came over to look at the place and he was very nice. He was supposed to leave an estimate in our mailbox on Monday or Tuesday, but he never did...I called him last night and he said he has been working on a really hard job all week so that is why he never stopped by. He quoted me the estimated price over the phone.

I am uncomfortable not having these things in writing. I don't want him to start on Friday without everything being in writing, but I am not sure what to have him put in the contract...what are the things that are usually included in a painting contract?

TIA!

Paint, labor, clean up, specified areas to be painted, tax, total price

I would definitely get it in writing. This is a business deal. Call him and tell him I need it in writing before you start.
