ugghhh I don't know what to do
Tyler always feels warm to me and his temp is usually in the 99's. The ped said a 99 could be his normal body temp. Now he has a 100.1. There is no way a 3 week old can have a normal body temp of that.

Hmm, what is his normal temp? Ava's is normally 99.7, so to me, 100.1 wouldn't be an alarming number, but just reason to monitor his temp the rest of the day. They need time to adjust their body temps as they assimilate to the outside world, so this could be the reason. Check it again and watch for any other signs of him being sick. HTH!

my doc always said that anything over 100.4 was worrisome in a child under 6 weeks.
I would keep an eye on it and call the ped if you grow more concerned.

Remember newborns can't regulate their body temps like you or I can. My ped told me that anything over 100.7 is considered a temp in a newborn/infant.
My DS runs about 99.1 most of the time. Whereas my normal temp is about 98.1 so he always feels hot to me! DH yells at me for taking his temp too often.
