Ugh - this just means more rain!!
Its probably going to come close enough to drench us again! UGH! I HATE RAIN.
I do hope it weakens before hitting Florida!!

forget about us!! so we'll get some more rain! yeah, it $ucks, but what about those people down there!?- they're going to be hit with yet ANOTHER hurricane!!!  I just hope and pray it loses strength before it hits land!!!!

(I know the rain stinks but we really are getting off EASY if all we have to put up with is more rain  .. after the devastation that has gone on in this country this year, rain for us is really just a minor inconvenience ) So sad

What about the people in Jersey who are flooded or the people in Mass where the dam may break?? I know a hurricane is an awful thing for all involved but there are also others effected by the rain!

we are going to have lots of rain this weekend according to the weather channel  My BIL and SIL were supposed to come to NY this weekend for a visit and now they dont know if they are coming because of the storm...I feel so bad for them

I'm neverous about this hitting Florida...the course its heading looks like its going to hit Marco Island, Naples and St. Meyers...my parents and family all have places in Naples...so naturally through the years we have made so many friends who live in that area....I hope what happened in New Orleans does not ever happen again.

why not? IF flooding occurs or dams break then people are displaced, property is ruined and lives may be lost... it's a sh&tty situation for ALL affected!

my parents were joking that the condo community they own in had installed hurrican car ports last fall....they were joking that they will demand their $$ back from the condo association if they don't hold up....but in all honestly we all hope they do....for the most part the people who live there full time are retired and on a fixed income...they can't afford the type of destruction that Katrina left in New Orleans.

yes it is sh!tty for all involved. but the original post was about US, in this immediate area getting DRENCHED again. like someone else said, we'd be getting off easy with rain here - compared to what people in other areas have been experiencing.
