Ugh- as if PG in the summer isn't bad enough...

Our furnace is BROKEN. We have no CAC. I went to my OB appointment yesterday and my BP was up. When I told her we had no AC at least til today (DH needed to buy a part)- she and said, "Tell your DH that the doctor said you NEED air conditioning". Thankfully though- a cold front moved through MD the past 2 days, so it's been bearable in the lower level of our house.

BUT- it might be a few more days, because "the part" didn't work, so someone has to come out.

So DH went to Home Depot last night and bought a window unit. When the check-out lady said, "It's only 75 degrees outside!" He looked at her deadpan and said, "I have a 13 month old daughter and a very swollen pregnant wife." To which she gave him her employee discount!

So- I finally slept in comfort

Ugh!! I felt your pain up until a few days ago... So glad that you have some relief with the window AC. That was awesome that the Home Depot cashier hooked your DH up!!

Considering what he must have looked like to her- he worked a full shift at work to come home to a crying, sweaty baby and a glaring wife with Hilary Clinton ankles.....
