Ugh, I can't go on LIW anymore- vent
It's not that I don't like the site, but I can't stand seeing girls recommend a certain vendor...it's killing me! I want to FM all these brides, but I can't...at least not yet. Sorry, I had to get that off of my chest!!!

Because I'm still dealing w/ them (the vendor), not by choice, and they have been known to be a fakie and I don't need that right now

and the best is when people that love this vendor try to make me look like a liar,
as if i enjoy bad mouthing businesses after my wedding

i actually have a very similar situation - I am soooooo unhappy with a vendor and it is still causing a headache! I would love to tell the other brides-to-be but cant yet!

I find the opposite. People constantly talk smack about one of my vendors and these people never used them. They are just going on one persons bad review from years ago, which really wasn't very truthful if you knew the whole story. They happen to be my fave vendor.

I would only say someting about a vendor I have used or had some type of direct contact with. I know that some have FM'd me asking who the vendor is. Although I would love to share this, please understand, I really can't at this time. I know it would be helpful to a lot of people, but I first have to make sure my and DH's interests are protected first.
There are some really excellent vendors on LIW, so I would not cross them completely off the list. I would just use caution and really research it...not just on LIW (and go back far in your search), but on BBB, etc. Believe me, if this vendor hadn't been so shady, it would be different.

i hear ya. its as if all new brides have to use liw vendors for everything. god forbid you use your normal hair stylist. such a nightmare to read some threads.

you can FM the girls and LIW will not comment via your FM. I think honesty is the best. Yes FM is annoying sometimes, but it allows you to speak your mind without anybody else commenting. I would take the time to FM those asking about the vendor and simply tell them to avoid any issue you are having with them

I don't go on there anymore - haven't in years (except a couple of drama threads ).
I did have a situation where I used a vendor from there whom I happened to love and said vendor was apparently hated by many there. I just posted my review at the end and didn't worry about it.

Kind of a tangent, but I never understood how people could rave about a vendor if their wedding hadn't happened yet. All you've done is heard their sales pitch and given them some of your money. Of course they seem great right now.

This has been mentioned by newlyweds many, many times and brides get SO TWISTED when you point that out!
I think "wedding planning" is just another name for "temporary insanity".
