UGH prank phone calls s*ck!
for the past week or so DH has been getting daily (almost hourly) calls from the same number and when he picks up it gives that shrill sound like you picked up on a fax machine.
i looked it up and found quite a few people complaining about this number and verizon doesn't block calls...

This happened to us..we did two things..one..when the fax calls, dial a bunch of numbers..(yes THIS was the brilliant solution from Verizon in the year 2008-this happened last year) and it descrambles the auto dialer. Additionally, I called the number on caller ID and gave them HELL...because our calls were coming in the middle of the night and basically scaring the crap out of us..good luck!

do you have access to a fax machine.. if it is a fax machine calling you.. fax thema note saying the # they are calling isnt a fax machine.. thats what i have done in the past.. hopefully it will work for you.

We'll have to try the descramble thing... when he dials back the number it goes to the fax sound again...I wish it brought us to a live person - I'd reach through the phone and smack them!
I will try faxing too - thanks!
