ugh... pregnancy and skin cancer
so, I've got a bad family history... (lots of melanoma in my family). So I go get a scan every few years to make sure I'm ok.
well, I noticed 2 moles get bigger a few months ago... now I found this article
moles changing during pregnancy / melanoma risks
lo and behold, those changes are NOT always benign
scheduling a derm appointment with a melanoma derm specialist tomorrow morning

I have the same concerns after I read something similar. I recently moved and needed a new derm and one place I called didn't have appointments til November! I finally found one that could take me in August.

Re: ugh... pregnancy and skin cancer
My dermatologist passed away earlier this year he was a great guy....
so, I just did some research online and found a dermatologist who is a skin cancer specialist at sloan kettering.... I seriously need someone with that expertise, since my history is so

Re: ugh... pregnancy and skin cancer
so weird, I just made an appointment or a screening today as well. I have tanned A LOT and I'm just a bit scared now. I'm going on the 30th to my regular derm.
