I was just talking about this with a friend today.
Burglaries are going to go up for sure. It's not going to stop to gas.
Desperate people will take desperate measures regardless who they hurt in the process.

I know! Someone went to my mom's job and starting syphining (sp??) the diesel gas out of all the trucks and hit up like 5 of the tractor trailers before they were able to stop him! And the crooks got away...

That's insane! I haven't heard of that since the late 70s.
I remember that my mom's car had a key lock on the gas cap. We lived in NJ at the time and state law dictated which days you could buy gas based on your license plate number.

This actually happened 2 years ago when it first went up. DH drove a truck for his job that had 2 32 gal tanks. He got into the truck after it being in the yard overnight & it was on E.
This would totally ruin my day as neither of the gas gauges work in our trucks.

I just filled up my car. Gas by my job is $3.61 a gallon.
