You will never, ever use an infant car seat (unless you leave it in the car) for a child that is 32 lbs. My DS is 16 months old and is not even 25 lbs yet. Some kids are bigger but that is the rare exception. Go with the regular one.

I totally agree. Save your money for the convertible seat.

Jenna did you buy the baby bargain book? That really was very helpful. And you can always ask me questions, I love looking at registries lol, I made my SILs for her

You're lucky!! I can't even decide on that
Part of me is like "should I go more neautral incase we have a 2nd and it's a girl or should I go all out on a boy pattern."

That's very true. DD is 32 lbs now and would NEVER be able to fit into that thing. I think I switched her over around 7 or 8 months (she was long).
I have the Snugride and loved it. I will be using it for this baby too.

Re: Ugh...deciding on all this baby stuff is driving me bonkers
The staff at BBB told me to go w/ the regular Snugride bc the other ones are heavier!
Also, def check to make sure u r picking out the 2010 models. The 2009 models are being discontinued and may not be available when people start to buy u stuff!

Re: Ugh...deciding on all this baby stuff is driving me bonkers
it is so overwhelming at first so many items/products. I had the regular graco snugride and it was great. I agree with he OP who said the snugride 32 just holds more weight...my DS was out of it by 5-6 months old b/c at 20 lbs he was to heavy to carry it

Re: Ugh...deciding on all this baby stuff is driving me bonkers
I found Baby Bargains to be helpful but I also went to the store to register with a friend who's a fairly recent mom. For the carseat, that was an easy decision in-store actually because all I had to do was pick it up and picture another 32 pounds - no way would I be carrying that thing at that point. The regular snugride starts out lighter and may stop sooner but I knew I would not want to carry that kind of weight around so it can be helpful to go into the store and pick things up, try them out, etc. too. I did a lot online but after having looked at things in-store.

ITA - we stopped using it at 8 months and DD was around 17 lbs. It gets way too heavy to lug around.

It's driving me bonkers too! I just posted about the Snugride last night and decided to go with the regular one, not the 32 because of the weight.

Re: Ugh...deciding on all this baby stuff is driving me bonkers
DD is just over 15 pounds and I can barely carry her in it. I have to use both hands and seriously lug the stupid thing. I like to leave it in the car when it's not freezing out, or I use the stroller to bring it back and forth from house to car.
