I think Tiger is very cute! I can't beleive your friends told you they thought he was ugly!! 
Tiger reminds me of my cat Samson, who (IMO) is the cutest boy cat EVER. (I have to say "boy cat" because we have a girl cat too, and I don't want her to get offended. Yes, pathetic, I know). But if Tiger reminds me of Samson, then there is no way he could be ugly.
Here's a pic of our Sammy when he was just a kitten. It was taken last June. Of course he's a lot bigger now!
ETA: Pic wont post, but I have his "baby" pics in my album!
