UHC and update
My firm has a service where a nurse will call you every now and then to check on you and give you info about what the firm does for you health insurance and perks..etc. It's a nurse line where I can call and ask questions and get to talk to docs as well.
So after I got nowhere with the regular folks at UHC to try and find out what exactly will go towards my IF benefit, I get a call from one of these nurses. They are nurse administrators for UHC. I tell her what's going on and asked for help. She couldn't help me but said she knew of someone else who could. 2 days later I get a call from Phyllis. An extremely knowledable person who has access to all kinds of good info. Cornell gives a packet out with all of the procedure codes for IVF. She told me to fax it.
She is also able to tell me what has already gone to the IF benefit and if I can ask the doc to resubmit if something shouldn't have.
I sent it off today. I hope to get some answers soon. What I know already is that codes with 89 are IF but others aren't Like the bloods and sonos aren't. Since it's Cornell it's out of network so 70% co-insurance but I'm almost at my OOP deductible. There is also R&C to figure out.
So complicated but I feel so much better that I will know exactly how much I'm paying out of pocket whatever it is. It will give me peace of mind to know just how many cycles I will be able to afford before I go into it.
Thanks for reading. Now if I could just get started!
