Ultrascreen
Hi All,
Has anyone had an ultrascreen and what was your experience with it?
I am having one in July....I've read a lot of conflicting information about it on the web....
Thanks in advance!

They screen for Down Syndrome and heart defects with an ultrasound and sometimes finger prick or blood draw.
I think the conflicting info is bc it's a screening test. So a lot of women have elevated results or high odds for down syndrome and then further testing shows that the baby is healthy. Obviously it's going to happen bc the results may say the baby has a 1 in 400 chance so 399 of the people told this will have a healthy baby. I think if you have the test, you have to go in with that understanding and not panic if they tell you the results are not good. At the same time, for those people where it does lead to a positive diagnosis I'm sure they are thankfully to have the info early on so they can be prepared.
On a totally different note, it's a great ultrasound!
