Um was I supposed to get a backpack for nursery school?
DD doesn't start til next week but I've been looking at all your first day of school pics and I even see the little ones with cute little backpacks. Tonight is parent/teacher orientation so I guess I'll get the 411 on what she needs although I've already been instructed to bring a change of clothes and a diaper but I thought that is just left there. What goes in these backpacks and where do I get one that is not actually bigger then DD?

My DD doesn't have a backpack for Nursery school.. she'll need one in Pre-k though.

DS has a tiny backpack (looks more like a lunchbox) w/straps for daycare. I put his fuit, yogurt, and water in it for the day. He normally comes home with his empty cup and daily report sheet.

DD has a backpack, yes, it's too big for her but she still looks adorable with it.
I put her sippy cup and anything else she may need for the day and usually she comes home with notes and art work in there.

My DS needed one also- They do have smaller back-packs but our problem was that the teacher wants us to leave a folder in there for his notice's etc... and the small ones can't fit the folder  ...But he does look cute w/ the big one

We got ours at the Disney Store. They sell 2 sizes there, so we got th smaller one.
Also Tina's Luggage in the Broadway Mall (Hicksville) has a good selection of smaller backpacks.
We haven't had the meeting yet (it is tonight) to see if she needed one, but I was a preschool teacher for 3 years and it made sending projects home easer.

I'm pretty sure that their school supplies the backpack.
The other stuff gets sent in a shoebox.
But I guess we'll find out the scoop tonight!!

same - they got a little tote bag with the school name and their name on it.
