umbilical vein
so i went for my appt im 36 1/2 weeks had sono and they found something wring with the umbilical vein? said have to keep monitoring that doesnt change size? abyone have experience with this? im so stressed besides my fluid goinv down still from 9-12-9 again ugh

umbilical vein
I have a persistant umbilical vein thingie but they said it really has no relevance .. they found it at the 20 week appt and I got a fetal echo which confirmed that the heart looked good so they said it really doesn't serve a purpose but I have another sonogram at 36 weeks to make sure all looks good.. so far it hasn't meant anything.

since your 36 weeks did they say anything like it effects the baby at all or if they forsee you going early?>

yes both ,. that this vein transports blood from placebta to baby and if gets too enlarged can bleed out and would need to be induced or c section early to mske sure baby ok

Hey, I was wondering what happened to you. I thought maybe you were giving birth!!
I don't have any experience with what you're asking about but I am hoping for you that everything is okay!!  I guess at worst, you might deliver early right? Will be thinking of you, hope you're ok!

Hope your sprinkle was nice. Try not to worry, I am sure everything will be ok.
I am hanging in there.......... Barely.  Just wishing every day this baby comes. Hopefully it isn't much longer.

We dealt with this also. This led us to taking the Materni21 and 2 fetal echos. As it turned out, everything was fine.

Oh wow they had you take those tests? When my doc told me this they said as long as there were no other markers it usually doesn't mean anything and just kinda stands alone.. they really didn't seem worried about this at all so then I didn't worry .. I guess I should have been a lil more concerned but no one else seems to be :( Im glad everything turned out ok for you!!!
