umbilical vein

I have a persistant umbilical vein thingie but they said it really has no relevance .. they found it at the 20 week appt and I got a fetal echo which confirmed that the heart looked good so they said it really doesn't serve a purpose but I have another sonogram at 36 weeks to make sure all looks good.. so far it hasn't meant anything.

We dealt with this also. This led us to taking the Materni21 and 2 fetal echos. As it turned out, everything was fine.

Oh wow they had you take those tests? When my doc told me this they said as long as there were no other markers it usually doesn't mean anything and just kinda stands alone.. they really didn't seem worried about this at all so then I didn't worry .. I guess I should have been a lil more concerned but no one else seems to be :( Im glad everything turned out ok for you!!!Chat Icon
