unemployment?
Does anyone know if you can file for unemployment if you had a contract last year for a position that was not renewed or cannot find a permenant job?

Re: unemployment?
I think you might!! Check the website. I found this:
Employees of educational institutions are not eligible for benefits based on such employment when a claim is filed between academic years or terms and during customary vacation or holiday recesses if they have a contract or reasonable assurance of employment in the period immediately following the vacation period or holiday recess.
If you don't have a contract for sept, it seems to me like you would be eligible!

Re: unemployment?
ok, something is better than nothing!
I only have enough clients to personal train part-time. And I cannot seem to get any company I have sent my resume to for managerial positions. It's amazing that with all my education and work experience I do not qualify for anything.

I know! Sometimes the more education and experience you have the worse off you are!
