Unexpected, but I got Mother-to-be Day presents
I anticipated today to be very hard for me and at moments, it was full of tears. My siblings and I decided that we needed to split up today and be with our respective ILs. We were so tired and needed a break from the sadness. My sisters were together as one is single and we promised Mom that none of us would ever be alone.
Anyway, my ILs got me some lovely pajama sets for me to wear at the hospital. I was so suprised and excited. They have been amazing in these past couple of weeks.
They also got the baby a couple of onesies though I wasn't allowed to take them home. Jewish superstition:
as well as a teddy bear for Ed-lie. I cannot believe that this time next year, I will be celebrating my first Mother's Day. It is so surreal.

that was very nice of them.
So sorry you had a rough day. Hopefully it will get easier as time goes on. But I could only imagine how hard it must have been for you.

those are so cute! i know how hard mother's day is- my mom is gone now for 14 years, and i always dread it, since we go to MIL's house to celebrate it with her, it always feels wrong for me. yesterday was different- this year i got some unxpected mother to be gifts, and i guess i can say it was bittersweet.

my mom bought me 3 maternity shirts, a robe for the hospital, and some baby clothes. i was plesently surprised, i wasnt expecting anything. i now think i have every shirt in targets maternity section lol
