universal PK (4yo) question

This may be a very silly question, but are we allowed to apply for more than 1 universal preK ? I was trying to find the answer online but couldn't find anything about it.

I know we can apply to 2-3 for kindergarten, but what about PK?
DD 3 is going to private school this yr , but next yr def universal PK.

Thanks Chat Icon

I live in queens. And for pre-k its not zoned and you can apply for more then one. Zoned children will get first place though. As for kindergarten, that is strictly by zone. Im pretty sure about that.

We live in Queens as well. I know that KG is def by zone. and I also know that pre K is not. There are 3 very good schools in our area (district) that offer universal preK .

So I 'm just trying to figure out if we can apply to all 3 , meaning are we allowed to apply to more than one UPK?

I was going to apply to one that's very close by us, it's not even 5 min walk. But then I thought about it and realized that if she doesn't get into that one then that's it... So I'd like to have other options....
