Any age. I did it last yr for Andrew's 2nd Birthday but I think any young kid would get use out of it and enjoy it

Well, my dad is 64 and he'd love that (he is a sandcastle artist)
In reality, I'd say 6ish?

Same here. We personalized them. We had 2 kids that were older than the rest, 5 and 8. I got the larger pails for them and put more "grown up" stuff inside them.

Does he come to Fire Island? I've seen the same 2-3 guys many times and then I've run into them at other beaches (which is funny because I don't get to as many other beaches as I'd like to).
I was going to say, I'd play with a pail and shovel!!!!!

probably around 7-8
we have only been to 3 birthday parties with DS and so far ALL of them have given pails and shovels! one of the parties was in the winter, one in the fall and one in the spring. i think they're a great favor, but very popular now. (DS is only 10 months old!)
