Upcoming races for the Spring....
Now that the weather's getting nicer, I want to do some races on the weekends. Which ones are you doing over the next couple of months? Any good ones coming up? I'm already signed up for LI on May 1  Can't remember the website with the race calendar, used to have it bookmarked but can't find it now.

I think Aspire 10K in Plainview is in 2 weekends. My husband is running it.

As long as my knee recovers in time, I hope to start running races again by May. I signed up for the LI Half...but since I got hurt I'm switching to the 10k.

I think Aspire 10K in Plainview is in 2 weekends. My husband is running it.
This is a great race for a great cause! If I wasn't doing a half the day before I would run this again.
Also, the Sean Ryan Memorial 5k is on June 25th in Long Beach. It's a lot of fun and you get on the beach for free afterwards (by showing your race number).

Sunday 3/27 suffolk 1/2 marathon - Selden (but only doing the 5k)
Sunday 4/3- Aspire 10k - plainview
Sunday 4/10 - Marcie Mazzola 5k huntington OR 4/9 Doug Woods 5k trail run northport
Sunday 5/1 - LI 1/2 marathon

Sounds like the Aspire 10K is a good one! I had never heard of it. I think I'll sign up! I like the 10K distance.

I did it last year Erica and a bunch of us went hung out by the beach walked around layed blankets on the grass and totally relaxed. At 530 pm we did the run which was great what scenery and so many ppl were out cheering us on. Afterwards it was great I ran and used the gym shower then we went to the after party and OMG they had so much food it was soo much fun. I cannot wait to do it again!
