Upcoming trips?
Any CFers have vacations coming up that they're excited about?
So far all I've got for sure is a few days in Chicago with my best friend to see Pearl Jam at Wrigley...I'm stoked, we've never gone away together in the 20+ years that we've been friends! 
I'm sure I'll get down to Savannah to visit my sister and FL to visit my mom for a few long weekends here and there.
DH may have to go to Amsterdam for work and I might tag along, depending on the cost of airfare.
And PJ is touring in the fall suppossedly so I'm saving my precious vacation time for that

After saying we were going to go easy on the traveling this year we have a bunch of stuff coming up!
We are going to Belize for a week in May (or July depending on if I get this show I'm in final callbacks for!)
2 weeks in Kenya and Zanzibar in November. This was a bit of a surprise. My parents had these travel vouchers for British Airways. My mom passed away and my dad didn't want to use them so he gave them to us right before they expired. Kenya and Tanzania was the last trip my parents took together, so....It's a bit of a memorial journey if you will....
Then in Feb I'm going to be spending 2 months alone in India taking a yoga teacher training course. DH will meet me after and then we'll spend a couple of weeks in Sri Lanka traveling around.

chi-town later this month. mainly for work, but thankfully DH is meeting me so we can have some fun!
FL for a long wknd next month - renting a beach house i think!
not sure what's in store for the summer. usually i have stuff booked WELL in advance...but the planning for our africa trip last november, followed by the holidays and just work stuff has really been one thing after the next! oy

Im so bummed, I started a new job recently so no vacation for us this year. 
I have been out of work since June and the minute I get a job....my husband has a week long business trip in California! LOL Talk about luck!

J - here are two restaurants that I'm probably going to try in Chicago...Quartino which came highly recommended by some friends of mine and Girl and the Goat which sounds amazing!

hmm thanks. ill have to look into those. we are definitely going to at least one james beard restaurant (that's our tradition for anniversary dinner). ive been to chicago before and there is an amazing chinese restaurant out there. if you are interested in chinese food, let me know and ill send you the link.
either way - send me a note in early may and ill fill you in on the good/bad/ugly

epcot serves a lot of drinks. last time DH and I went it was our goal to "drink around the world"...o boy, by the time we got to italy, i needed to go back to the hotel to lay down. haha. it wasnt so much the amount of drinks then the MIX of drinks. so just be smarter then me. do not mix potato vodka with wine with tequila with some ginger drink that i got in china. ughhhhh
