update --HELP! MY HOUSE SMELLS LIKE POPCORN & ...
I AM SHOWING IT TO PERSPECTIVE BUYERS IN A LITTLE WHILE!!
I already put lemon water in the microwave, but the microwaved popcorn smell reigns!!
what else can i try quick?!?!
should i cook up some garlic? LOL! I would fall in love with a house that had garlic smell...
ps... please send some selling vibes!

make more popcorn and offer it to the people coming to see your house if you can't get rid of the smell lol. At least then they'll just think you made it for them

I'd think that in the time it takes to bake chocolate chip cookies, the popcorn smell would have already dissipated!
Honestly, I don't think the smell of popcorn is offensive -- and I probably wouldn't be offended by that smell if I were looking at a house. I just might be a little hungry from it.

I'd much rather smell popcorn in a house than garlic, even though I like the taste of garlic. I agree with making more popcorn and making it available.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I would love to walk into a house and smell popcorn. What time are they coming? I'm sure it will be fine. Lots of selling vibes!

offer them popcorn , or possibly put a large bowl of it on the counter..
if not bake a quick batch of brownies the realtors say its a "homey" smell
then again so is popcorn

take out a pot, fill it up with some water, drop some cinnamon sticks in it and then boil it. it'll get rid of the smell in minutes!
