ETA: Try lighting a vanilla candle... I've heard that works at eliminating odors.

hmm...
if you cook it too long/burn it, it gets bitter.
Maybe that's what happened here... I think my dad burned it...

omg i loooooooooooooooooove the smell of garlic! 
i make these yummy garlic roasted mashed potatoes---and roast like 3 whole bulbs of garlic in a pie tray for an hour in preparation of it---and i just love that smell so much!!

it really is! just drizzle olive oil over the garlic---and bake it! then when its ready--you just squeeze the garlic from the bulb without too much fuss---crush it with a fork and when you make the potatoes -- you add the garlic to them along with some heavy cream and butter. its delicious!

You know what else is yummy?
cut a whole bulb in half and pour olive oil into it and put it in the oven to roast. When it's done, you'll have this out of this world roasted garlic spread to put on bread. YUMMMMmmmmmm!
