UPDATE - Please help I don't know what to do, daughter in bed
I don't know what is wrong with my daughter. She has a routine at night where we do a bath then a bottle and then I rock her a little and then put her in bed. Well lately she has been getting up at midnight, 2 or3 am screaming uncontrolable, thrashing, doesnt want me to rock her basically she doesn't want to stay in her room. So what do I do, PUT HER IN MY BED. I know nothing is wrong with her because a soon as she gets in my bed she falls asleep. Sometimes it happens when I put her to bed for the first time at night, she will stand in her crib screaming. I hate listening to it and my fiance can't listen to it.
Anyway lastnight I put her to bed and she fell asleep ahe woke up at 3am tried to let her cry it out (didn't work), so I put her in the bed, (she didn't want that) , then i went downstairs and put Dora on she was ok with it only for a little bit then she started crying, walking around, so I took her for a ride, she fell asleep, I put her in the crib and what do you know WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH so I left her there, by this time I didn't know what else to do, so my fiance is like what are you doing don't you here her hyperventilating, so what does he do goes and gets her, now by this time I am crying because I really don't want to hear her cry, so he gets her and calms her down, now mind you it is 530am suns coming up birds are chirping, so she finally fell asleep while she is gasping from crying.
WHAT DO I DOOOOOOOOOOOO???????
UPDATE - i went to the natural store today and bought hylands calm forte, she was just screaming and i gave it to her and she is calming down now, pray pray pray

Maybe she's teething?
MY DD goes through nights that you just described every so often. i usually find that's it's either teething or she's not feeling well.

I say it's teething as well. My son usually cries out at night when he is teething or sick...

Welcome to my world, I just asked advice on this topic. Don't know how to get my daughter to sleep the whole night in her crib. She would much rather sleep in our bed.... Please, let me know if anything works for you.

we have the same issue. my thoughts are that she won't be 15 and still sleeping with us- so I just let her do what works for her now- and if we have to battle it out later- we'll just have to deal but Maddie screams bloody murder when she is in her crib now and it's been this way since she was 6 months old and got an ear infection.

How old is she? I think what happens is even if you "spoil" them once and let them in your bed, they are going to want to do it all the time. I think you should let her CIO a little unless you dont mind her waking up every night and than coming into your bed.

i dont mind at all i just dont want her not to ever go in her crib. i wish i could let her cry it out but she hyperventalates (hahaha probably the wrong spelling)

Re: UPDATE - Please help I don't know what to do, daughter in bed
I said it ONCE and I will say it again... CIO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please guys listen to me. It worked like a CHARM!!
DH and I never wanted to do it either. First night she cried 45 minutes. Second night 30, third night 15, Fourth night NONE..
She has sleeped through the night in her crib since! If she has a rough day, no nap and goes to bed late because we are out or something, she might wake up and we just let her CIO, and within 20-30 she is out...
I can not recommend anything more highly in parenting... I wish DANIELLE would listen to me, no I am sorry I wish PETE would listen to me.
HTH. Denise
