**UPDATE-- We decided!** Level II is tonight and DH and I are still split on finding out or not, WWYD?
**Update**
So we decided and...
...we didn't find out!!  Or should I say I decided.  I'll play it DH's way this time. After deciding to stay team  and having the night to sleep on it after the anatomy scan, I'm actually more excited than I thought I'd be. I think it's going to be fun to let it be a surprise. Oh, and most importantly, baby looks great!! Thanks everyone for your thoughts, it really helped!!

DH didn't want to find out for DS but last minute (like in the waiting room) changed his mind. I always wanted to know. This time, same thing. Though DH says he's set on not finding out this time. I reeeeeeeeally want to know. He said fine, I can find out, just don't tell him.
I'm so torn, I don't see how I can possibly keep it a secret (I know me I have no self control). And also, how am I supposed to shop for stuff, start referring to the baby, pick out names, etc, without letting it slip?!?!?
Our appt is tonight at 5:30. Yes, of course I can not find out too. But my thinking is, and other BTDTs maybe you can help here, that with bringing home a newborn when DS will be just short of 2 yo, the last thing I'm going to want to worry about when I get home is getting bedding, clothing (if it's a different sex than DS). Especially now that I KNOW what I'm in for and how incredibly difficult it is those first few weeks. I just want it all done by the time I get home.....ugh, what do you all think??
Relax and stay in the dark with DH or find out and keep it to myself and hope that I don't let it slip? Did anyone do this successfully?

If it were me, I don't think I would be able to keep it a secret...I just wouldn't be good at it. So, I think that I would have to try to stay in the dark with DH...or, just mentally prepare for the fact that he was going to be p!ssed when I slipped

Honestly, I think you guys need to come to an agreement and decide to find out or not. I don't think one person knowing would work. If I desperately didn't want to know (like your DH) and my DH slipped, I would be SO upset!

This is how I feel. I'm kind of hoping that he'll cave last minute like he did with DS. Then part of me is telling myself to chill out and that I don't "need" to know as much as I think I do and it could be fun to not find out. It's the control freak part of me that's speaking louder right now.

One of my girlfriends was able to know and not let it slip to her DH. It can be done if you are committed to keeping the secret.

I say wait! Last time DH came around to your side, why not come around to his side this time around.
I waited with DS and it was the best moment of my life. There is something so fun about the anticipation!
As far as bedding, go and pick out both, set up a registry and then once baby is here, its DH's responsibility to go buy the bedding.
As far as clothes, thats not that big a deal, do you have some neutral stuff from DS, jsut wash that, and I am sure you will get plenty of stuff after baby is born as gifts from family. Go buy a few neutral staples and that will hold you over for a bit.
Coming home outfit, I bought 2 and MIL washed the right one the night before DS came home. The other I returned.
PS< there is no way I could keep that secret.

I was for my first 2 (  & ) and will be for #3 as well...
All the "stuff" will come....I got inindated with clothese at the hospital each time from family and friends which was enough to get me through until I did my own shopping spree...as far as the nursery, since I was team green we had gender neutral but realistically the baby usually isn't in his/her room until a few weeks in and if you want pink or blue- you have plenty of time to do it the way you like ...

Hearing for the 1st time after 9 months of anticipation and guesses "It's a ......" is something so incredible to me and I wouldnt have it any other way

we're team so I am probably a little biased but I have to say not finding out has been so much fun! We have people betting over my belly shape and how I am carrying and even looking at the sonograms and trying to figure it out- its been so much fun!

I would find out AND tell your DH.
You do all of the work for 9 months, you will be the one to do everything after the baby is born I'm sure. There are some things (IMO) that men don't get a say in and this is one of them.
ETA: I would have the tech write in in an envelope for you and bring it home to open it with your DH, and your son and maybe some family. Maybe he wants a little bit more excitement!
