UPDATE 5:10-My first step back....

I got my bloodwork done this morning. I was late. Someone had told me (though I can't remember who ) that the stony brook office would be active by now and they wouldn't be doing only early morning appointments at the office they are borrowing. So I walk in at 8:15 and the blood courier is there and the nurse is handing the bag of vials over to him. She saw me and wasn't too happy. I asked her if I could go to Quest or if she wanted me to drive to Melville but she said she'd draw my blood quickly and asked the courier to wait. I was so embarassed but it was an honest mistake. So now I wait- if i didn't ovulate on my own then they'll call in a prescription for me for provera.

I was having a nice morning, then I came home to find my basement FLOODED and a lot of my stuff is in cardboard boxes down there (glassware, etc.... to be painted) so I just spent hours cleaning up what I could and throwing out the rest. My hot water heater is leaking. It was coming out in buckets- but my mom and I turned a bunch of knobs and managed to get most of the water off and i hit the emergency switch- so I guess it's just slowly draining out the rest. Welcome home me. And of course my dad is still in FL and so is my brother and my DH is in Manhattan, so now I have to call my 'uncle' who just had stents put in around his heart last week. I hate to bother him but he's the one who put it in (years and years ago I believe) and see if he's up to coming over, otherwise I'm calling the ppl who clean it out or do whatever it is they do from time to time (yeah, I'm really knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff ). Ugh!

The nurse just called. The machine broke that they need to test my progesterone! Are you kidding me????? UGH!!!! This is not a good first step back. Now I have to wait until Monday at the earliest to start provera..... not a huge deal, but I wanted to get going already.

Ok- it's almost 5pm and no one has called me w/ my results to let me know if I should start on provera or not. There's no voicemail for me either. I checked it and there was one from september 9th- but they called me that day to tell me my beta was negative, and told me not to bother checking the voicemail- so now I'm worried that maybe they left me a message and I didn't get it b/c the old one was there. Ugh- great first step! I don't know what to do now...

My uncle just left- my hot water heater is leaking, just as I thought. He said we can't fix it so now we have to buy a new one. In the meantime, no hot water for us. I was so looking forward to relaxing in a warm bath tonight too..... ugh.

Ugh Shannon what a day! Hopefully you will have a much better weekend and you can enjoy the beautiful weather!

Oh I have lots of experience with basement flooding. I swear our basement floods at least once a month!!! If there is a down pour it's practicallly guaranteed. Get out the wet vac!
