Just had my 3rd sono since starting stims (Day 23 of this IVF cycle). The doctor thought everything looked great and that I would be starting Menopur tonight! He estimated that the ER would be on Monday or Tuesday.

I did go for Menopur injection training, but I'm kind of blanking right now. Is that the med where you need to mix powder and liquid? Changing the needle 2 or 3 times before the actual injection??

UPDATE 7.13.2010

Today is my 21st day of this IVF cycle. I had a little setback in the second week, I had a 'large' cyst blocking my left ovary, so I had to remain on Lupron for an additional week.

I started Follistim (ouch!) last Friday. I had my second sono today and I have lots of follicles maturing on both sides - I think he said at least 8 on my right and more on my left! They measured around 12 and he expected the retrieval to be sometime at the end of next week.

Very exciting!!!

UPDATE 6.30.2010

Today is my 8th day of Lupron 10cc and also Day 1 of my new cycle. I just called the office and I go in tomorrow morning for bloodwork and a sonogram.

Does anyone know what should happen next? Am I likely to start Follitism tomorrow??

Starting to get a little excited, obviously not overly excited, because of course there are no guarantees, but we are heading in the right direction!!!

ETA: So far I haven't had too many side effects from the Lupron. Has anyone had crazy dreams while on Lupron???

After 4 unsuccessful unmedicated IUIs, and since we're dealing with low counts, we are off on our first IVF cycle.

Started injections this week and we are definitely excited, but it's more of a cautious anticipation, I guess we don't want to get our hopes up.

This is the first time that I am dealing with any meds/injectibles, and so far it's not bad at all. That said, it's only my 3rd day on Lupron 10cc, and that box of meds I got from Freedom was pretty big!!

Does anyone know an estimate of how long it usually takes from when you start Lupron (Day 21) until the ER? I keep hearing different time frames, and I assume it's because everyone takes different drugs.

I was not on BCP, and I believe that I have Lupron, Follitism, Menopur, and maybe one other drug at this point. Apparently I don't get my progesterone until closer to the time I will need it (is that normal??). *ETA* -- I think that another reason for this is that apparently my progesterone needs to come from a different pharmacy than the rest of my meds, must be some insurance issue.

Anyway, please pass on any tips that you guys might want to share - fingers crossed that we have a successful cycle!!!!
