UPDATE!! Anyone ever use Price Line to book a Car Rental?
What was your experience like?
How low can you go?
The cheapest car I've found so far is $20/day (weekend). I want to try to get to $15...do you think it's possible?
Will they have me travelling miles from the airport to get it?
Thanks!
Update:
I got a $14/day economy car on the first try. Priceline rocks!!!

You can say that you only want on-site airport rentals.
Definitely try $15. If it's too low, you'll know right away and have another chance to bid.
Actually, I would try $14 first -- that would be 30% off, which they claim is do-able.

Re: Anyone ever use Price Line to book a Car Rental?
I used priceline when I went to florida during a non peek time. I put in 15.00 a day I had to keep trying they kept saying no but finally I got it with enterprise.
It was a compact (the 2nd category) when I got to the car rental they had none left so I was in a midsize car and that turned out to be a pumpking orange chevy hhr but hey it worked and it was 15.00 a day!

You can try right away but you will have to change the category of the car.

I tried but it wouldn't let me, I can't remember the reason.
I went directly through Enterprise (they were the chepest that I found) and I'm able to pick it up right at the airport.

I'd take puke green for $15 a day!
My quick weekend visit to a friend is costing me a fortune!

Re: UPDATE!! Anyone ever use Price Line to book a Car Rental?
WOW, that's a great price.
I never used priceline. How does it work? I'm trying it now and it seems like I have to put all my information into the system and they will bill my card if the price is accepted. If not, they don't bill the card. Am I correct?
TIA

Yes - that's how it works.
I've used them for rental cars, hotel rooms and airfare (the name your own price options). I've done it most for hotel rooms and have been extremely happy with my experiences so far!
