UPDATE *Anyone live in Bellmore (or close to it) who wants to start running .... True beginners!
to start walking/jogging/running??? I know its rather cold out now (I can wait until it gets a little warmer). ANyway, I am looking for a partner here. I just cannot motivate myself to workout and I must start! I honestly cannot run more than a minute or two now lol So I am truly a beginner! I know, however, that I can build myself up. My husband is a track coach and gives me certains tip on how to get started. The only problem is, he gets home at 9 o clock every night! And My work hours are from 6 am-4 pm. So I would like to run in the early evenings or on weekends.

I figured we could meet on Monday evenings, Thursday evenings and once on the weekend! We can meet at Wantagh High School and use the track and then vary the workouts and locations a bit if people wanted to do trails!

Update:
So anyone want to be my running buddy? I am 26 and need a friend who wants to lose weight with me by workingout!

wow I could have written this myself.
I just joined WW in wantagh. I go on Thurs at noon, but think I am going to switch to the 10am meeting.
I am in Seaford and will def walk - not sure about run
The only problem is I am a SAHM. My DH works nights so I do not think we would be able to meet up

I belong to the WW in wantagh also. I go to meetings sunday at 11:30am with Lisa. She is the best.

Oh thats good to know! Mike also is looking for new trails but he worksout way earlier than I ever would lol When it gets nice, we totally should meet up ..... again

I started walking again on Sunday, and today is my 3rd day of walking. It feels good to get out there again. Even though it is cold out. I don't think I could run though. Not up to that yet.

I'm not ready to run, but can do Thursdays definitely and depends on weekend day..I work Monday nights until end of April

I go to WW meetings in Wantagh on Monday mornings. Gloria is my leader. I am also looking to start to exercise- I am looking to walk- if you want to walk let me know. So far I am down 16.4 pounds started Feb 1st.

i go to WW meetings in Wantagh on saturday mornings at 9:30. I would love to do this! But I put my son to bed around 6:30 so it would have to be after that. I live in North Merrick. The track at the Boces school on jerusalem is good too!

I live in N Merrick and I am definately interested in walking. I could afternoons or early evenings 7 0r 7:30. Anyone interested? My back is bad at the moment, but I hope to be walking again in a couple of weeks.
