Update from my doc appt.. (sono)
well i went for my sono on friday.. the doctor was not in so i didnt have any results. anyways... the doctor called me back yesterday and said everything was fine.. i just have a cyst..but he said it was no big deal.. he will check on it in another 2 weeks.
WELL, i then told him that i was not comfortable with him monitoring me every 2 weeks the next time i get PG.. (i saw him the day i had my MC ) so that makes me feel VERY uneasy. Then i tell him that my DH and I want to push to have the cerclage done at 12 W along with the Progesterone shots. ( i truly believe i have a weakened cervix like my sister) soooooo he says "no problem" he would do it.. whatever makes me comfortable he says.
now remember i wasnt sure if i wanted to stay with this doctor??
well i think im gonna stay for now being he seemed really sincere and has no problem doing the surgery . it felt like a HUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

thanks! i also said to my husband that WE are in charge here.. if i feel that during the pregnancy that im not comfortable with him , then i can always switch .. but we are not going to sit back this time.. so im very confident!!

Good for you Deanna!! I'm glad you spoke up and voiced your concerns to the doctor. And you're 100% right....if down the road you're not comfortable with this doc then you can always switch. Glad you feel a bit better now though

I am so happy you are feeling confident. If you ever feel the slightest bit hesitant with this doctor, you know you can up and switch and THAT is important!

that's awesome! i truly feel that a successful pregnancy (for those of us who have had problems in the past) has a LOT to do with your mental state and being confident in your doctor and being in control of your treatment is a HUGE part of that! i am so happy for you! you must feel so relieved!

Deanna, I am so glad that you went for your sono and your doctor is making you feel a lot better. I think it's a good idea to get the cerclage at 12W and also do the progesterone shots as well.

Why aren't you comfortable with him monitoring you every 2 weeks? Do you think he won't be as diligent? Why do you feel uneasy about this?

I'm so happy that you feel better about it all, and especially that the doc is on board with what you're going to do. He must at least feel it is a possibility that you have a weak cervix if he is willing to do the surgery. If he was certain I don't think he would have agreed so easily. Congratulations!

i was not uncomfortable when he told me he was just going to monitor me every 2 weeks without the cerclage.
that made me feel VERY uneasy.. so now he is doing everything!
