Update on single umbilical artery
As many of you know at our 20 week sono they told us that the baby had a single umbilical artery and that because of it the baby was at risk for Down's Syndrome which we ruled out with the amnio. The other risk is that the baby may be smaller or may develop smaller. So I have to go for sonograms every 4 weeks to make sure everything is ok.
We had our 30 week check up today and I am happy to say that everything looks GREAT!!! The baby is developing totally fine and is actually big. It's weighing at 3 pounds 7 ounces and everything is developing at a normal rate.
I go back again in another 4 weeks but it really looks like the single umbilical artery is not affecting the baby's development at all. Thank you so much to everyone who has kept us in your thoughts and prayers and please continue to do so.
