Update on the work force
HR did investigate the situation and yesterday had me come in to sit with them and my boss to go over the situation. My boss was shocked I had taken it to that level HR was unhappy with the way the situation was handled all together.
My boss explained to me it had nothing to do with my job performance. At this stage of the game in the company it is important to have key players in key spots. It's important to have those that are strong in certain areas to be in those areas. And my strength is my customer service skills. He continued to explain how CS is hard but he has heard nothing but wonderrful things about my abilty to connect with the customer and my strength in that department will take me further.
blah blah blah... Whatever. he was trying to smooth the waters and HR said this situation was miscommunicated and that it was not handled professionally on my boss' part.
So I went to CS yesterday and I hate the desks and the chairs. For a department that sits 8 hrs at a desk you would think the owners would give them a little more comfort. I am going to see if I can get another chair. I have a back problem and I cant sit for 8 hrs in that chair. If I have to go to the chiropractor and get a medical note I will but I am hoping I dont have to take it to that extreme and can just find a nice chair around the office. I am hoping *fingers crossed* that the sister company I used to work for they moved offices and some of their stuff has come over to our office that maybe one of those chairs are hiding around somewhere. I am going to ask HR today if maybe their is one hiding around I could have.
Everyone in CS was extremely warm and really welcomed me to the department. They seem generally nice and really enjoy what they do. I am training b/c even though I do know their products and how to run the program their are still some things I dont know and some things that are done just a little bit differently then what I did at the other company.
Overall it's not terrible. It's tolerable until something else comes along. I am still actively looking and just taking it all one day at a time.
Thank you all for reading this, your kind words, warm FM's and being my ear during these last few days.
edited to add: I also sent HR a nice email thanking them for taking the time to investigate. I didnt want them to think I was a trouble maker...
I wrote how it will be refreshing to get back on the phones with the beloved IBO's that I had known as ITA's and building the relationship with them here that I had over there. I look forward to working with the new manager that starts on Monday and my fellow IBO support team. I ended with I trust my knowledge of the travel program and my knowledge of this company that I had gained over the last 3 yrs will help my fellow team members.
HR saw me later in the day and that email made her smile from ear to ear. She thanked me so much for the warm email. She said the only emails HR ever gets from staff is mean and them yelling. No one likes HR. I think that email really made her day

Re: Update on the work force
I am glad that you were able to talk more about the situation with HR. I hope it all works out for you. Your boss handled it badly.
