UPDATE: TRANSFER DONE. Poll- How many embies to transfer?

Just when I think I have my mind made up on how many embies to transfer tomorrow I read something that changes my mind. I know DH is going to leave this up to me.
Background:
Age: 37 (38 in June)
History:
2007- 4 IUIs- All BFN
Jan. 08- 1st fresh cycle (9 eggs, 6 fertilized, 3 transfered)- BFN
May 08- FET (single embryo transfer)- Chemical
Nov. 08- canceled cycle due to poor response, coverted to IUI- BFN
Jan. 09- Fresh cycle, 12 eggs, 6 immature, 4 fertilized

I have 4 embies and I have no idea what quality they are. I guess I won't know the quality until tomorrow...not sure why the dr. doesn't call to let me know. Providing they are all good quality embies, how many should I transfer? My gut feeling is to transfer all 4 but I'm not sure I could handle reducing if it came to that.
I like the thought of doing 3 but is it worth freezing 1? I did that last time but I was on the state program and they didn't charge me for it.
Any thoughts are appreciated. I know this is a personal decision, just looking for opinions.

UPDATE: I didn't have to make a decision because 1 embie didn't make it
but the other three looked great so we did all 3 of them. I'm not sure what grade they were but they are 11 cells, 6 & 5 and they look beautiful to me! Yay! 2WW here I come...

I'd go with 2.

You DID get pregnant with a single embryo transfer for your FET... so I definitely wouldn't do 4 because what if they ALL take?

The best advice I got was: "Don't transfer more than you're willing to carry." That decision ultimately is up to you...

ETA: You can also thaw 2 and see what the quality is like and then thaw more the day of transfer depending on how you feel about it.. KWIM? I know that my place charges for re-cryo ($1100) - so if you want to thaw all 4 and then only put in 2 or 3, it's just something to keep in mind.

I would do 3. 3 on day 3 and 2 on day 5. That's always what I've heard. Unless the quality is really bad (which I'm sure it's not ) I would never chance it with 4. I know it's hard to freeze that one but 4 would make me very, very nervous. Even if I was ok with selective reduction, the chance of high order multiples would be too much for me. But again, this is all my personal opinion.

I just want to add, I put 3 back this last time. They were 3 good quality embryo's but I had 2 failed cycles and a m/c last year. I won't know until Monday how many took. The chance of twins is there but the chance of triplets is minimal. I was ok with either.

You need to really think about all the possible outcomes no matter how slight the chance and how would you handle each situation.

Karen, Cornell never calls other than the fert report...no other updates

I heard you can ask to speak with the embryologist before your tx to find out the quality and make a quick decision, but I've never had to do that...

I would tx 4, but that is just me...no particular reason except I would always wonder....

I think I'd probably do a minimum of 3. Will they freeze the one? If this cycle didn't work out, would you do another fresh? These are all factors.

I would do 4 - mostly because of your age. Plus, apparently you froze some once and they didn't all make it to thaw, so I wouldn't want to take that chance either...

If it were me, I would put back the four. If you put back three, you are only freezing one and I guess I would wonder if that one didn't make it through the freezing process if I should have put them all back. Good luck with your decision.

I only froze one and it resulted in my chemical. Thanks for the advice.
