Update!! When did you get the results of the newborn screening? DD passed which means........!!!!!!
I was wondering when you got the call about your DC's newborn blood screening that they do when the DC is leaving the hospital?
For those of you who got a call about an abnormal result, when was that call?
It's been over 3 weeks for us. Is no news good news?
Update - No news DID mean good news!!!!
DD passed which means she DID NOT inherit DH's Cystic Fibrosis gene! That means NO sweat test, no added worry! I am so thrilled I had to share with you ladies!!!!

I was discharged yesterday. The little pink paper that I received for the Newborn Screening has my last name & preprinted # on it. Is says that you must bring this paper to the Pediatician to get the results. The Pediatrician can get the results from the hospital or by calling the # on the paper. Under NY law the results can only be reported to the Pediatrician and can not be sent directly to the parents. HTH
Maybe your Ped will give you the results at the next appt.

No news is good news.
I completely forgot about that until I read this, and my baby is 11 months old today. It's pretty safe to say I would have heard something by now.

I don't know if I got this paper, I have to check.
I do know they told me the hospital gets the results and hte ped does. And from friends and others on here, I know they got a call from the ped with the abnormal result. But I don't know when...I think I asked the dr but I just don't remember.
We see the ped next week for the mth checkup, but I really hope they would have called by now if something was abnormal.But...they could be waiting to tell me at the mth appt.

No news is good news. From my understanding if one of the tests was positive you would be contacted immediately.

I also never heard anything. I think I might have asked but, not certain b/c that time period is a big blur.

Update in first post and here also!
DD passed and no news did mean good news!!! THis means she did not inherit DH's CF gene, which means no sweat test and no added worry for me.
I was worried about this my whole pg and I can finally let it go. I had to share my joy with you ladies, thank you all whomever I had chatted about with this!!!

I am glad to hear this! I remember when you were first posting about the CF test.
