See maybe this is why I don't have kids yet, because I would surely be in jail over this.
I think the best advice isto go straight to the cops. Maybe if the cops speak to the parents, they will take it more seriously.
So sorry your poor son has to deal with this.

Re: Any lawyers or cops here who can answer a question about bullying?
I am so sad for your son I HATE bullying. I was bullied for an entire year in 6th grade and the school did nothing despite my parents repeated complaints. It did a lot of damage emotionally to me - so I would think it's definitely worth asking the police or a lawyer about.

I am so glad to hear that they are taking this serious. My heart breaks for kids who are victims of bullying. At such a young to be so cruel, hopefully he will get the help he needs because I believe there are other issues that lead kids to become bullies.

For those that are advocating hitting back - I'm just curious do you still do that if you (or your child) is physically weaker?
Hope it went well at the principal.

I would never tell my kid to hit back unles he were "jumped" or something and NEEDED to defend himself. It solves NOTHING, and gets my kid into unneccesary trouble.
