Updated - I don't do this too often, but...
asking for some prayers for my Mom.
As many of you know, she was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer a while back, she had most of her stomach removed and then went through Chemo and Radiation for six months.
Since July of last year, she has been cancer free but losing weight steadily. She is now at 110 pounds at 5'7" and has been hospitalized for malnutrition.
They are going to attempt surgery today to reroute her small intestine in the hopes that this will help her stomach digest food.
I truly believe in the power of prayer so please pray that she makes it through this and it is the answer to her problems. I know how badly she wants to be here to see her grandchildren born.....

Update
Just wanted to let you know that she made it through the surgery, although they weren't able to do what they wanted to do. She has so much damage to her intestines from the original surgery and radiation that the only options available are to put in a feeding tube and try treating her with that and meds. Hopefully she will be going home next week and they will be setting up home health care for the feeding tube. The new hope is that eventually the meds can restore her stomach somewhat and she will be able to eat at some point.
