WOW...sounds like an amazing experience! Please post pictures when you get a chance.
As I was reading, I was opening new tabs on my laptop to see all the places you mentioned. Everything looks incredible.
Can I ask how you went about booking something like this last minute? Did you do a package of something or did you research and book everything on your own. Sounds overwhelming if you did it that! lol
ETS: I see you posted pics. Probably as I was reading the review! More please!!! Also how was the weather? I know you said it's winter right now. Was it cold? Or fall like temps?
I made an album with a few more pics (couldn't get them to post on here ).
We booked directly through South African Airways, with their travel agent who is located in Arizona. He booked the flights, hotels and excursions,it was not a package, per se, but he we told him what we wanted to do and he booked everything for us (except the Township tour - that we booked ourselves when we got there, with a recommendation from someone that had been there). Definitely would have been overwhelming to book it all ourselves in such a short time.
The weather in Cape Town was in the mid-60's for the most part. At Kapama, it was COLD (high 40's-low 50's) in the early mornings (wear lots of layers) and in the 80's by mid-afternoon, and then would cool down again in the evening. (packing for this trip was almost impossible! ). But their winter is nothing like ours - so much milder. They occasionally get snow at the tops of the mountains in the winter, but even that is rare.
