UPDATED: 4th IUI and Now Doc wants me on Birth Control
I've been an emotional wreck since I really thought the 3rd IUI was it....
Im not really sure why the doc said he wanted to put me on Birth Control so im hoping some of you can help.
Do me it seems like a pun on words. Take Birth Control when Im trying to get pregnant. Any advice?
ETA: So I have been on BC for a week now. 2 pills a day. My period showed on Sunday March 28. I had it for 3 days very heavy. The doc is telling me that taking 2 BC pills per day will bring AF on earlier then a normal cycle. He is anticipating a week from Today. I have to continue to take 2 pills till Thursday when I go back to the doc.
Im still so confused. Does taking 2 pills of BC really make AF show quicker?

Not sure about BCP's w/ IUI's, but with an IVF cycle they sometimes will put you on BCP to supress your ovaries, so maybe he/she thinks that will jump start your ovaries (or maybe to produce additional follies??) Not quite sure, but wanted to wish you luck

I have only heard of BCP in conjunction with IVF, but I wish you luck with next month !!!

you could be like me and have a follie already growing on CD3. This will create a dominant follie issue and supress the other follies, no matter how many stims you take. Trust in your Dr's, they will take care of you.

Yes I just called the doctor. I do have a follice there and they need to get rid of it. I have to take the Birth Control till I have a doctor appoint on 4/8. It could be longer but at least till then. Im not taking any of the shots like the last cycles so Im figuring im losing this month since I got my period on Sunday 3/28 and probably would have had the IUI on 4-10 or 4-12.
Am I wrong for thinking this month is a wash?
ETA: I am taking 2 BC pills a day till next thursday.
