UPDATED AGAIN WITH CONFIRMATION THAT HER BODY WAS FOUND....My best friend in high school....
is missing.  She was my BEST FRIEND in high school. We did everything together. We just went our own seperate ways after we graduated. She sent me an email on myspace back in December saying she was sorry we weren't in eachother's lives anymore
I hope she is ok

UPDATE - I have not heard anything on the news, but following the RIP page her neice made when she first diappeared , it says that they found her body. I also know someone who knows the detective and they confirmed her body was found off of 109.
Her boyfriend was also arrested and is being charged with 2nd degree murder.
I am so devastated by this. We were best friends for years, but just went down 2 completely different paths. I was young, but looking back, I should have tried to help her straighten herself out. I am disappointed with myself for that. When I knew her, when she was clean, she was so full of life. So vibrant. She was always there when I needed her. We always had so much fun together. I just wish she hadn't gone down the path that she did. Maybe none of this would have ever happened

Im so sorry to hear that, a similar thing happened to me, my best friend from high school emailed me asking me and DH to go to a party at her house so we could catch up, we didnt go and a month later she died in a car accident, I found out through an article in Newsday too. I hope they find your friend and you have the chance to rekindle the friendship.
